Abby Holekamp is currently Mellon Assistant Professor of Russian and East European Studies at Vanderbilt University. Broadly speaking, her research focuses on transnational cultural histories of Russia/the Soviet Union and Western Europe. Her current book project explores the interplay of French and Russian revolutionary cultures from the 1870s-1930s and how these — at times unexpected — connections affected the production of new political and cultural knowledge across Europe. She completed her Ph.D. in History at Georgetown University in 2021, and her research has been supported by a Fulbright-Hays Fellowship and by the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies, among other organizations.
