writer, editor, historian
Abby Holekamp is a historian whose research focuses on transnational cultural histories of the Russian Empire and Soviet Union, and Western Europe. Her current book project explores the interplay of French and Russian revolutionary cultures from the 1870s-1930s and how these — at times unexpected — connections affected the production of new political and cultural knowledge across Europe. After completing her Ph.D. in History at Georgetown University, she taught at the University of Chicago and Vanderbilt University. Her research has been supported by a Fulbright-Hays Fellowship and by the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies, among other organizations.
